Fine vintage helmet originating from a New England estate has canvas body with (8) metal vent holes on top, ears are of leaher with portions of its' original two chin strap arrangement still present. "V" shaped leather lined cutout at back of head is intact as well. See a Picture of this Item 813 Significant football sculpture by John Rogers c.1890. Exceedingly rare piece of early football art by noted sculptor John Rogers of New York. Rogers work is noted for its' realism with relation to the medium used, his subjects incl. sports, Western America, and wildlife. The offered example is one of only a handful known to exist and is fully intact with no cracks or repairs. Statue had some surface paint flaking which the previous owner had touched in by a professional restorer and was done nicely although could be reversed if so desired. "Football" inscribed on front of base, "John Rogers 14 West 12 St. New York" inscribed on top of base. 12" wide x 16" tall, the pinnacle of football figurals by an artist of import: EX ($4,000.00-$5,000.00) $4,500.00
 
See a Picture of this Item 814 Joe Namath New York Jets jersey c.1972. Great knit jersey from the legendary Jet quarterback has #12 on front and back with Namath on back. Retains orig. Champion Products Inc. tag inside tail and linen button flap at bottom of shirt tail. Obtained by a sales representative in 1972 while delivering sock samples to the Jets equipment manager at Shea stadium. As thanks for the hurried trip the current owner received several pieces directly from the equipment manager incl. the offered jersey. Jersey shows some evidence of light usage wear incl. soiling and a few abrasions. Namath remains today one of the more revered names in football history and piece of this calibur are rarely offered. Color litho. thin stock cardboard sign billing a game between the Carlisle Indians and Columbia University to be played at Manhattan Field on Thursday Nov. 30, 1899. Pictures a Columbia kicker preparing to kick a ball being held by reclining player on the field. Lot also includes (2) ticket stubs to the actual game with game date and team names. Sigs has some light creasing, a few small tears incl. vertical 3" tear at bottom, and is missing orig. hang string. Tickets are each clean with the exception of small horizontal tear in each. Matted and framed archivally.
