See a Picture of this Item 1116 Significant group of (3) July 24, 1911 Addie Joss Day panoramic photographs. Incredible Cleveland area estate discovery of a framed display consisting of three panoramic views taken during the Addie Joss Day All-Star benefit game played in Cleveland between the Cleveland Naps and an assembled group of All-Star players with proceeds going to the widow of the stricken Cleveland pitcher. The top image pictures Cleveland in the field taken from right field vantage point with Cy Young on the mound in full wind up and Joe Jackson clearly visible in right field. The batter is left handed and appears to be Tris Speaker as he was first in the All-Star batting line-up and the scoreboard indicates no outs, strikes, or balls. Second image depicts Cleveland once again in the field and is taken from behind home plate during the top of the fourth inning. Pictures Cy Young on the mound after retiring a player in Phila. A's uniform as they walk back from first base (Could only be either Frank Baker or Eddie Collins). Approaching the on deck circle is either Ty Cobb or Sam Crawford (Only two All-Star players wearing dark hats). Poignant view of the American flag flying at half mast in center field with scoreboard in left field clearly visible showing the score to be 3-1 in favor of the All-Star team (Starting pitchers Young and Wood also clearly visible on scoreboard). Bottom image shows fans exiting onto the field heading for the marked exit gates in the outfield fence which provides a wonderful glimpse into baseball practices during the first quarter of the 20th century. Final score of 5-3 in favor of the All-Star team is faintly visible in the ninth inning slot on the scoreboard. Each image measures 8"x33" and have been adhered at the edges to a large period mount and then have a triple view orig. matting on front giving an overall framed size of 27"x36" in its' original gothic style decorative frame. Images exhibit very little wear with only a few small areas of edge chipping not visible under matting. To our knowledge this is the first set of game action images to be offered relating to this legendary game and given the rarity of Addie Joss Day related materials are certainly among the finest pieces that have been offered to date: EX-MT ($10,000.00-$15,000.00) $32,000.00
