See a Picture of this Item 301 Single owner collection of (89) vintage baseball Hall of Famer photographs. Attractive and very interesting assemblage of original Baseball Hall of Fame member photographs of an unknown origin and dating period. The vast majority of the images are second period renderings of some of the more famed photographs in baseball history inclusive of numerous Charles Conlon examples. All of the photos are blank backed, and of a very high quality, with the exception of a few photographic display pieces mostly of 19th century players. Most photographs measure either 7"x9" or 8"x10" with players including Ruth, Cobb, Wagner, Foxx, Johnson, Greenberg, and Hornsby. Overall condition is very fine with some typical light surface crazing from aging. The majority of the photos are accompanied by a separate typewritten biographical description label. Again, although undated, the images clearly exhibit aging and are of a quality level indicative, in many cases, of having been printed from the original negative: Range EX-NM ($1,500.00-$2,500.00) $1,200.00

Three 3 3/4"x4 3/4" photographs from Babe Ruth Day in 1947 at Yankee Stadium show a close up of Ruth on the field, a distant shot of him delivering his famous farewell speech and a shot of Ruth in the Yankee Stadium clubhouse for the last time with bat in hand, posing with his friend Emory Perry. Accompanying the photos is a letter from the photo dept. of the Daily News to Emory Perry dated May 11, 1947 that reads, "Dear Mr. Perry: I bet you like these, don't you? Finely crafted 10k gold ring produced by Artcarved features attractive design elements including a football shaped NFL logo on the top encompassing two synthetic stones surrounded by the words "Players Association". The left shank features a football helmet bearing Upshaw's uniform number "63" in relief with his name "Upshaw" bannered above. The opposite shank features an intricate rendering of a football field with a football in the foreground in relief. Interior band is stamped "Artcarved 10k". The ring is a size 11.5 and shows moderate usage wear. As a player for the Oakland Raiders, honors came frequently for Upshaw. He was named first or second-team All-League or All-Conference 11 consecutive years, and he was selected to play in seven Pro Bowls. Upshaw was an integral part of the powerful offensive line that spawned the Raiders' lethal running attack of the 1970s.
