Period black and white image of the World Champion Red Sox posed in three rows at Fenway Park which was taken on the Opening Game of the World Series on October 7, 1916. Players include Hooper, Pennock, Mays, Carrigan, and a very young Babe Ruth. Clarity and contrast are indicative of Bain's works, with this particular example remaining very strong relative to the period in which the image was taken. Image has small period identification title within the photo in Bain's hand. Back is stamped by Bain with typed titling and date. The photo has some minor chipping at the two right corners which is not visible under the current matting (as shown).
