See a Picture of this Item 1 Bob Lemon 1978 New York Yankees World Championship ring. Stunning 14K gold ring with inset central diamond of approx. one carat surrounded by royal blue setting and circled by (21) diamond chips. Side panels feature Yankee Stadium decorative panel and 1978 dated "NY" logo with "LEMON" inscribed above. Inside of band is inscribed, "Greatest Comeback in History". Following an incredible 1978 season for the Yankees in which Bob Lemon was named manager midway through the season and capped off by a legendary one game playoff win over the rival Red Sox with a dramatic Bucky Dent home run giving Ron Guidry his 25th win against just 3 losses. The Yankees began the World Series by losing the first two games only to accomplish what no other team had done before them in taking the next four games to win the 1978 Championship. The offered ring is one of only a handful to have become available to the public and combined with the provenance of originating from a key figure on the team represents one of the most significant World Series rings that we have handled.
