| Description: Pittsburgh Pirates professional model jacket c.1954-1956. Heavy wool jacket with black leather sleeves bearing Pirates "P" logo patch on left front chest. Interior has "Butwin" manufacturer's tag with player number "14" written on in the period. Below is a wash tag. "46" Size tag in collar. Player Jerry Lynch wore number 14 from 1954-1956 which coincides with the time frame in which Butwin was making jackets for Major League teams and utilizing this style of tagging. Usage wear evident throughout with some lose stitching to team logo and several mostly minor imperfections to fabric. Fine piece for display and notably scarce. Includes LOA from Hunt Auctions: EX |
